Introducing my blog

Posted on October 4, 2008 10:59 by mikesnell
So here it is … my brand new blog about all things .NET and Visual Studio.
Let me introduce myself; I'm Mike Snell and I work as the VP of development services at a consulting company in Pittsburgh, PA. I've been doing that for about 5 years now. I am also a Microsoft Regional Director (check out TheRegion). I have been doing Microsoft-related development, architecture, and consulting for more than 15 years now. I hope to spread some of that experience through this blog and learn from the feedback I receive from readers.
A few years ago, I co-authored a book with Lars Powers on programming the .NET Framework with Visual Basic. We have gone on to write a few more together. The latest of which is Visual Studio 2008 Unleashed. It covers all things Visual Studio, including all things Visual Studio Team System and Team Foundation Server. Of course these tools continue to expand. Therefore, we hope that the content of these books will be expanded and discussed in this blog forum.
I also author Training Kits for Microsoft Press. My current project is a training kit for the ASP.NET 3.5 Technical Specialist exam (70-562). More on this to come as the ship date approaches (early 2009).
That's the brief introduction ... excited to get going and post on all things .NET and Visual Studio!

Hi Mark,

I was wondering what the status is on the 70-562 training kit? I'm waiting very impatiently to get started with this book.

Any idea's when it will be available? Amazon is stating 15th of April.

Keep up the good work Wink

Cheerz,
Bart
